Gesha Village is internationally renowned, and for good reason - the coffee they produce is consistently world-class. The estate is a 471-hectare coffee farm, built by Rachel Samuel, Adam Overton and Willem Boot, in Bench Maji, Ethiopia. Over 8 different blocks, each with their own characteristics, they produce 3 different varieties, Gori Gesha, Illubabor Forest and Gesha 1931.
This lot is part of their growers reserve range, which are special micro-lots accounting for 15% of Gesha Villages production. It is from the Shaya block where they grown variety called Gori Gesha.
This original heirloom variety replicates the genetic diversity within the Gori Gesha forest, the so called "birth place" of all gesha. This specific lot was processed as Semi-Anaerobic honey, which gives it intense candied like fruit notes, but also plenty of vibrancy and brown sugar like sweetness. These seeds were harvested in 2011 through Gesha Villages own expedition

Important Information
Roast Date
All of our coffees are roasted on Loring coffee roaster each week on Tuesday before dispatch on Wednesday. We recommend resting our coffees for at least 3 weeks for the best results. Please note this can also mean you may receive coffee that has gone through a resting period.
Shipping & Dispatch
We dispatch all of our orders on Wednesdays. For the UK we use Royal Mail 24h service. For outside of the UK we use a tracked international service, at an additional cost, which will be added at checkout.
The cut-off deadline is 11:59pm on Mondays.
