This year, for the first time, we have collaborated with Bare Bones to produce a chocolate bar.
Earlier in the year when we visited Kotowa, not only were we able to source incredible coffee, we also came across their cacao. After trying samples and a conversation with Victoria, we wanted to bring this project to life.
At Special Guests we believe in leaving experts to be experts and Bare Bones are exceptional producers of chocolate - the Kotowa cacao could not be in safer hands. Their meticulous roasting, QC and processing has resulted in a perfectly rich and indulgent milk chocolate with taste notes of deep toffee, cream and prune.
Thank you to Cam & Lara at Bare Bones and Victoria at Kotowa for bringing this to life and giving us the ability to try a farm in two forms: chocolate and coffee.

Important Information
Specific Coffees
We're here to celebrate the world of coffee and the many different regions, varietals and producers.
Coffee Information
Each coffee is unique and we love to tell the story. Whether it's the growing conditions, the roast profile or varietal each has a role to play in the final experience.
Limited Supply
We focus on buying unique and rare lots, which often means we have very limited supply of these coffees. All of our subscription coffees are sourced specifically for this service, making it exclusive and limited.
Roast Date
All of our coffees are roasted on Loring coffee roaster each week on Tuesday before dispatch on Wednesday. We recommend resting our coffees for at least 3 weeks for the best results. Please note this can also mean you may receive coffee that has gone through a resting period.
Shipping & Dispatch
We dispatch all of our orders on Wednesdays. For the UK we use Royal Mail 24h service. For outside of the UK we use a tracked international service, at an additional cost, which will be added at checkout.
The cut-off deadline is the 11:59pm on Mondays.
